Reddit is on a mission to attract the attention of marketers currently spending their ad dollars on Facebook and other social media platforms.
Since the start of 2018, Reddit has seen a 38% increase in native video posts. It’s only been a year since Reddit launched native video and it’s already surpassed 1 billion video views per month.
Reddit has made a lot of changes over the past year. They did a major site redesign and launched native video ads.
The goal of all this is of course to get a share of the marketing dollars going to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Reddit says their video ad view rates are now on par with Facebook video views. That’s quite an achievement in less than a year.
