When Google first got started and up until very recently the secret algorithm they use to rank websites was written and edited by human engineers. That has begun to change.
Once Google started developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help with algorithm adjustments it discovered something interesting.
They found that the AI produces 10% better search results than human engineers. This gave birth to what is known as RankBrain, Google’s in-house AI that uses machine learning to tweak the algorithm and deliver better search results.
